The key that is provided as input is expanded into an array of forty-four 32-bit words, w[i]. Four distinct words (128 bit) serve as a round key for each round. 2. Four different stages are used, one of permutation and three of substitution: • Substitute bytes: Use a table, referred to as an S-box4, to perform a byte-by-byte substitution of the block • Shift rows: A simple permutation that is performed row by row • Mix columns: A substitution that alters each byte in a column as a function of all of the byres in the column • Add round key: A simple bitwise XOR of the current block with a portion of the expanded key 3.

With a regard to this, the author fully utilizes the SALC to extend stuents learning hours. Besides the four periods for the classroom teaching, more learning hours are regulated for the students to do autonomous learning. In the first and second semester, two learning periods for SALC each week; in the third semester, three for SALC and in the fourth semester, four for SALC.
